Using Tucson Tour Guides

Because there are so many things to see in Tucson, you might want to consider hopping on a tour so that you can be guided along the sightseeing of your most favorite attractions. Join a helicopter, bus, walking, or other tour, but if you plan to guide yourself along, be sure to plan ahead.

If you'd like to soar above your choice attractions, consider Helicopter Tours, including the Red Rock Roundup and Ancient Ruins.

On the Red Rock Roundup your, you'll view Sedona in its red rock splendor. You'll also see famous Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, The Chapel of the Holy Cross, Submarine Rock, Snooy Rock, and Beautiful Bear Wallow Canyon. Approximately 12-13 minutes, you'll enjoy this sightseeing adventure.

If you'd like to see the Ancient Ruins, consider a helicopter tour that takes you aboe Secret Canyone's 2,000 feet of red rock walls. You'll view Secret Mountain and the Mongollon Rim, then descend into Boynton Canyon and view the Sinagua Indian Ruins, a memorable 20-25-minutse tour.

On the other hand, if you'd like to keep your feet planted on ground but would still like to enjoy spectacular views, consider a motor coach tour with South of the Border Tours. Choose from the Kino Sonora Mission Tour or the Patzcuaro Tour, where you'll experience the rich culture and history of the region.

If you choose the Kino Sonora Mission Tour, you'll particularly look at the Pimeria Alta (land of the upper Pima Indians). After the Jesuits created a network of mission districts in this land in the Altar Valley in northern Sonora, the development of the missions was continued by the Franciscans. Travel through the small villages of agricultural and ranching communities living a simple, Mexican lifestyle. Along the tour, you'll visit Tumacacori, San Ignacio, Cocospera, Magdalena de Kino, Tubutama, Oquitoa, Pitiquito, Caborca, and San Xavier del Bac.

Whether you decide to enjoy an up close and personal view or view from afar, guided tours will help you learn about and appreciate popular attractions. And if you decide to guide yourself, you'll be able to spend all the time you want at your choice attractions; just be sure not to run out of time!
